I find this so disheartening. My maintenance calories are 1200 (short stature and spinal cord injury). I'm 1 year post surgery and I've lost half my body weight but it feels inevitable that I'll regain because 1200 forever is so tough!

So far I'm down 183lbs since June 23' when i had sleeve going to crack atleast the 200 Mark in June that's my goal. I'm still gonna take the elevator ride to penthouse work there elevator boy to make sure i get there. I didn't have it done to be average that's for sure! I've never been average since i was born.

Im in an average program, with mass class and many PDFs with repetitive information. High protein shakes for 2 weeks before and after...

My parents left me in Brazil, my brother and my sister with our maternal grandparents, for about 6-year to come to America to save their marriage. Their marriage has many issues even after many years. They left us behind. We suffered rape and traumas and brought these messes into our marriages. My maternal grandparents stayed married until Grandpa died of cancer. Kids outside his marriage showed up. Grandma now has dementia and Alzheimer's. She doesn't remember us or her deceased husband. She used to say to me when I was a little girl that no matter what happened in the marriage, you stayed in the marriage even if cheating happened. This is not a nice counsel for anyone, even for me as little girl. I have been married for over 22 years now, and it has not been easy. Especially when you have your mother in law living with you and making your life a living hell after WLS ten months later.

Another good book to have on my library. When you've been manipulated by many narcissistic people in your life, it is very hard to leave the pain behind. You thought they loved you, but everything was a lie from them. Their manipulations, their fakeness, and you will need therapy to get better from it. I recommend a book by Dr. Ramani "It is not You." This book and the one from this video goes very well together. *DO NOT LEAVE THE ELEVATOR. UPLevel your life! Find Excellent and Outstanding People.😊

In Holland we got a long program before and after the weight loss surgery depending on the person it can take 1 year before and 5 years after with every professional helping you. I’m now in year 1 and going for surgery soon….and yah if you keep on this program everything is payed bye insurance.

How come that my WLS doctor sent me to do Strength training at 10 months post op?

This is so powerful!!!! Thank you Dr V. I was sleeved 2/12/24. Been overweight since very young. Biggest change in college and then up from there. Pre surgery weight 270 at pre surgery weight and highest weight 290 after an injury that left me non weight bearing for months! I appreciate your honesty and willingness to address the psychological aspect. My program has a support group but they focus on the tips for how to lose the weight not the “head space”. I just came across your channel a few weeks ago and I am addicted to your philosophy and have watched your videos daily!❤❤❤

Well, here we are a year or two later, and of course this all turned out to be a scam lining the doc's pockets with no concern for those of you left holding the bag. Knew it from the start, I did my best to couch my comments on it back then as "unjudgementally" as possible so that hopefullly those considering his "opportunity" would not just see me as a naysayer against him; I'm not against anyone but I know a scam when I see one... Sorry for anyone who got burned. If you've lost any serious amount of money let me know & I'll do my best to steer you towards the right authorities who may be able to help or at the very least will go after the company and those involved at the top...
